Russia summons UK, French envoys over Ukraine Storm Shadow missile strike

Russia on Friday said it summoned the United Kingdom and France ambassadors to protest a Ukrainian strike using Storm Shadow missiles on a factory in Bryansk, calling it a provocation that could undermine peace efforts.

The Russian ​Foreign Ministry said on ​Friday that it had summoned the British and French ​ambassadors ‌to ⁠lodge a protest over ‌a Ukrainian strike on Russia ⁠this week with missiles "manufactured by a Franco-British consortium."

Ukraine ​said on ‌March 10 that it had used Storm ‌Shadow missiles to hit a ​factory that produced semiconductor devices and integrated micro chips ​for missiles in ​the Russian city ​of Bryansk.

The Russian Foreign Ministry ​said Moscow considered the strike to be a deliberate provocation aimed ⁠at derailing a peace settlement in ⁠Ukraine.
